New initiative brings together leading academics, AI, and real-world marketing execution to help business leaders navigate the future of marketing.
oneteam™ today announced the launch of its Academic Advisory Board for AI & Marketing, alongside a broader AI & Marketing Leadership Platform designed to connect academic research, artificial intelligence, and real-world marketing execution.
The initiative addresses a growing challenge for business leaders. AI is rapidly changing how consumers discover brands, evaluate products, form preferences, and make decisions. Yet the disciplines shaping that transformation remain largely disconnected: universities advance research, technology companies build AI platforms, and marketing organizations focus on execution.
oneteam is building a model designed to connect all three.
The Academic Advisory Board brings together two leading voices at the intersection of marketing science, artificial intelligence, consumer behavior, and business technology:
The board is designed to function as more than an advisory body. Its purpose is translation: moving academic research into applied marketing practice and bringing real-world execution data back into the research environment. The board will identify meaningful shifts in AI, consumer behavior, and business technology, and translate them into practical strategic advantage for the people responsible for acting on them.
“Most organizations produce research, build AI, or execute marketing. Very few connect all three in a structured way,” said Ari Rollnick, Founder & CEO of oneteam™ and Chair of its Academic Advisory Board. “That is what we are building: not an advisory board for credibility, but an operating model for what marketing needs to become in the AI era… more informed, more connected, and ultimately more impactful.”
Through its AI & Marketing Leadership Platform, oneteam plans to develop:
The ambition is to create thinking that earns its way into CEO and CMO conversations… not simply more content for the feed. “As AI continues to reshape search, commerce, consumer decision-making, and business growth, leaders need more than tactics,” said Dr. David A. Schweidel. “They need perspective, frameworks, and trusted interpretation of what these changes mean for their businesses. That is what this platform is built to provide.”
For oneteam, the announcement also carries personal significance. More than 25 years ago, Bharadwaj was the professor who inspired Rollnick to launch his first agency immediately after graduation. “To have the opportunity to build something meaningful with Sundar and David today is incredibly significant to me personally,” Rollnick said. “More importantly, it gives our clients access to a level of academic thinking and strategic perspective that rarely exists inside a marketing organization. We believe that combination will become an increasingly important competitive advantage in the years ahead.”
